DAY 10: UBUD TOUR

For this day, I have decided to avail of a tour package that my hotel recommended. The tour costs around Php 3,550.97 and includes entrance tickets, transportation, lunch , tour guides, etc.

Today's Itinerary schedule:

08:30 – Pick up at the hotel 09.30 – Watching Barong and Keris Dance Performance (Trance Dance) 11.00 – Visit Celuk Vilage for Traditional Gold and Silver Smith 11.30 – Visit Batuan Village for Traditional Art Painting 12.00 – Visit Ubud Tegenungan Waterfall 13.30 – Enjoy Lunch in Ubud 15.00 – Visit Ubud Tegalalang Rice Terrace 16.00 – Visit Ubud Monkey Forest 16.30 – Visit Ubud Royal Palace 17.30 – Back to hotel 18.30 – Arrive at hotel

For our first stop, we went to the Barong and Keris Dance Performance. The dance was pretty interesting and the tour guide really explained the purpose or origin of the dance. I definitely learned something new about Bali's history. We then went to Celuk Village and checked out the traditional silver and gold smiths. It was really cool seeing a lot of items made out of gold and silver. The jewelry was absolutely exquisite. The best part is that, it was a lot cheaper than the ones you would see in malls and jewelry stores.We then went on our way to Batuan Village to see various paintings and meet traditional art painters. We even got to see one in action!

We also checked out the Ubud Tegenungan Waterfall before heading off to have lunch. The falls looked really nice. The water was cold and just looking at nature in one of its best forms is just so relaxing. We went to a nearby food establishment for lunch which offered local Ubud specialties.

After Lunch, we headed to the Tegalalang Rice Terraces. And I must say, it was stunning. I could just stare at it all day, but of course, we have to be on our way. We then went to the Monkey forest in Ubud which was really nice because you get to interact with the little creatures. Afterwards, we went to the Royal Palace which, I must say, was absolutely exquisite. The interiors really wowed me. The place was really royalty.
